Awesome Gloucester is partnering with Studio Fresh, Ocean Crest, and Art Haven to create original public art to honor and commemorate local people who worked in the fishing industry in jobs that happened on land, such as fish packers, fish cutters, and lumpers.
The art will be located in the Fort neighborhood.
In addition to Awesome Gloucester's $1000 micro-grant, matching grants have been contributed by Allison Mueller and Sal Zerilli. Additionally, Kyle White has generously donated staging to facilitate the artist's ability to do their artwork. Huge shout out to Ann Molloy and her family for making this possible by donating wallspace for the art!
